The Taj Mahal is an ivory-white marble mausoleum on the south bank of the Yamuna river in the Indian city of Agra. It was commissioned in 1632 by the Mughal emperor, Shah Jahan, to house the tomb of his favourite wife, Mumtaz Mahal. It is listed as one of the New Seven Wonders of the World.   The tomb is the centre piece of a 17-hectare (42-acre) complex, which includes a  mosque  and a guest house, and is set in formal gardens bounded on three sides by a  crenellated  wall. Construction of the mausoleum was essentially completed in 1643 but work continued on other phases of the project for another 10 years. The Taj Mahal complex is believed to have been completed in its entirety in 1653 at a cost estimated at the time to be around 32 million  rupees , which in 2015 would be approximately 52.8 billion rupees ( U.S. $ 827 million). Sailing Stones....

Sailing stones , also known as  sliding rocks ,  walking rocks ,  rolling stones , and  moving rocks , are a  geological phenomenon  where rocks move and inscribe long tracks along a smooth valley floor without human or animal intervention. Instead, rocks move when large ice sheets a few millimeters thick floating in an ephemeral winter pond start to break up during sunny days. These thin floating ice panels, frozen during cold winter nights, are driven by wind and  shove  rocks at up to 5 m/min. Trails of sliding rocks have been observed and studied in various locations, including Little Bonnie Claire Playa in Nevada,and most famously at  Racetrack Playa ,  Death Valley National Park , California, where the number and length of tracks are notable. Blood Falls!!

Blood Falls is an outflow of an iron oxide-tainted plume of saltwater, flowing from the tongue of Taylor Glacier onto the ice-covered surface of West Lake Bonney in the Taylor Valley of the McMurdo Dry Valleys in Victoria Land, East Antarctica. The salt content of the subglacial lake under Blood Falls is three times saltier than seawater and too salty to freeze. The reddish deposit was found in 1911 by the Australian geologist  Griffith Taylor , who first explored the valley that bears his name. The Antarctica pioneers first attributed the red color to  red algae , but later it was proven to be due to iron oxides.
